T-Shirt O the Day #8 - Brave New World

O wonder! How many goodly creatures are there here! How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world, That has such people in't.

— William Shakespeare, The Tempest, Act V, Scene I, ll

Brave New World indeed! Shakespeare meant this ironically, but Aldous Huxley's incredible novel, Brave New World(title taken from The Bard), released in 1932 was the ultimate dystopian nightmare, that resonates more profoundly today than ever before. To call BNW ahead of it's time is the ultimate understatement!

I'm not sure even Huxley himself would believe how prophetic his vision had become in terms of women's reproductive rights, the culture of celebrity worship, reality tv, and oppressive state control by a "technodictator" I suspect he'd probably think he had taken too much of his famous LSD-25, and decide to close the doors of perception and go back to a dreamless sleep...
